- ➤ Tuscaloosa authorities have arrested Kendarius Lewis, 22, on charges of alleged sexual offenses — three counts of first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sodomy and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse that occurred in Cottondale and Northport between 2020 and 2025. ABC 33/40
- ➤ A teenager, the girlfriend’s son, was charged with capital murder after fatally shooting Cornelius Darnell Witherspoon inside his vehicle in the Cottondale community early Friday morning— investigators said an argument triggered the shooting. ABC 33/40
