Tuscaloosa’s One Place Tinsel Trail — at Government Plaza — will host Family Night on Friday, Dec.
19 from 4–6 p.m. The event offers crafts, games, and a scavenger hunt to bring families together for holiday fun.
Nearly 500 wreaths were placed at four area cemeteries to honor fallen veterans, organizers said (local groups including the Elks Club and Civil Air Patrol took part).

Daniel Bray assumed the role of Tuscaloosa County School System superintendent on Nov.

The Alabama Medical Cannabis Commission approved licenses for four companies to run medical marijuana dispensaries after nearly five years of delays.
Up to 12 sites will open next year in cities including Birmingham + Montgomery.
