Officials in Tuscaloosa are planning a 22 ft bronze statue and plaza honoring Chief Tuskaloosa on Greensboro Avenue near Embassy Suites and River District Park.
The project—part of Project Warrior and led by City Councilman Lee Busby—will feature educational storyboards and walking paths.

The Crimson Tide defeated UTSA 97-55 Sunday afternoon in Tuscaloosa before their upcoming game in Birmingham, with standout scoring from Jalil Bethea and London Jemison.

Alabama football dropped to No. 11 in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll after losing to Georgia in the SEC Championship, which hurt their College Football Playoff hopes.
The poll ranked them below Oklahoma and Notre Dame while ahead of Vanderbilt and BYU.
Alabama will face Oklahoma in the first round of the College Football Playoff on Friday, Dec.
