  • Northport’s Kingdom Kitchen opened on Tuesday with more than 200 volunteers serving 750 plates of food—Pastor Garcia plans to expand operations to five days a week to help local residents.  WBRC

  • Three local Alabama businesses—Humminbird from Eufaula, Bourbon Pens near Birmingham, and Alabama Sunshine from Fayette—are featured in the Made in America Holiday Gift Guide created by the Alliance for American Manufacturing to promote small brands for holiday shoppers.  The Tuscaloosa News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Alabama drivers who decorate their cars for the holidays must follow state traffic rules that require lights to remain dim, fixed, and not block headlights or brake lights. The guidelines allow only white or amber lights on the front and red or amber lights on the rear (these rules help prevent driver distraction).  The Tuscaloosa News

  • The Alabama women's basketball team clinched the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship in Nassau by defeating Harvard 80-60 and Minnesota 63-58, coming from behind in both games. They will return to Coleman Coliseum on December 1 for the annual Fifth Grade Fast Break game at 11 a.m. CT—Essence Cody earned MVP and she along with Jessica Timmons made the All-Tournament team.  Tide 100.9
