  • Local agencies in Tuscaloosa are working to fill the hunger gap as federal SNAP benefits are suspended amid an ongoing government shutdown.   • Alabama basketball opened its season at Coleman Coliseum on Monday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. CT with a match against North Dakota; fans watched the game stream on SEC Network+.  The Tuscaloosa News
  • Alabama women's basketball played its season opener against Stetson at 4 p.m. CT on Nov. 3 at Coleman Coliseum, streamed live on SEC Network+. The team will host McNeese State at 6 p.m. CT on Nov. 6.  The Tuscaloosa News
  • Alabama football offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb said the team will work on its run game by improving blocking and running back play when they face LSU at 6:30 p.m. CT Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium—he expects this approach will help the Tide prove they can run effectively.  The Tuscaloosa News
  • Panelists on The Tide Tailgate Show debated which college football program is the best as the Associated Press rankings placed Alabama first, with Ohio State, Michigan, and Notre Dame rounding out the top ten before Alabama played South Carolina.
