- ➤ On Thursday, Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue and Lowe's partnered at Lowe's on Oscar Baxter Drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a lithium-ion battery recycling event as part of Fire Prevention Week, letting residents safely drop off batteries from devices like cell phones and power tools that can overheat and catch fire—firefighters provided safety tips and free goodies.
