- ➤ University researchers from UA discovered fossils of ancient crabs and shrimp in Lowndes County last Thursday—one crab species was named costacopluma nicksabani to honor former head coach Nick Saban. The Crimson White
- ➤ Shelton State Community College is hosting the Worlds of Work career expo today and tomorrow to connect students and local job-seekers with interactive displays and top West Alabama employers in fields such as agriculture, healthcare and construction. - ➤ UA Early College now offers two new freshmen scholarships—one awarding $1,500 for students completing 17 college credit hours by December with a minimum 2.75 UA GPA and enrolling full-time at UA, and the other awarding $3,000 for students finishing 24 college credit hours under the same GPA requirement—to support Alabama high school students taking college courses.
