- ➤ A Tuscaloosa physician’s assistant is charged with forging prescriptions in his wife’s name and secretly recording an adult family member undressing in his home—he faces charges of forgery, computer tampering, possession of a controlled substance, and voyeurism while he remains free on bond. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Tuscaloosa City Council voted yesterday to host the Kentuck of the Arts Festival for 15 years — making the city the official host until 2039. The festival moved from Northport because of financial disputes and construction and will be held at Snow Hinton Park on October 11th and 12th to bring more food and art to the community. ABC 33/40

- ➤ No. 18 Alabama will host Wisconsin at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 11 a.m. CT on ABC—marking the first time the Crimson Tide has hosted the Badgers in a home-and-home series that began in 2024. The Tuscaloosa News
- ➤ In Alabama’s shutout win over ULM on Sept. 9, Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. was ejected after a helmet-to-helmet hit on ULM receiver Tyler Griffin and will miss the first half of the Wisconsin game at 11 a.m. CT on Sept. 13.
