- ➤ The Tuscaloosa Public Library will host its popular Repair Cafe on September 20th from noon—3 p.m. to help community members fix items like typewriters and antique lamps while volunteers share repair skills. Tuscaloosa Thread
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Today, Tuscaloosa Academy announced its largest project— a $6.5M campaign to build a 23,000 square foot Athletic Center with a gym, field house, locker rooms and a weight room. The campaign has already raised $4.5M and will give students more ways to train and play sports. Tuscaloosa Thread
- ➤ Northridge Middle School in Tuscaloosa was named National School of Character and a State School of Character after receiving two trophies for its respectful—supportive approach to education. It is the seventh TCS school to earn national recognition and the eighth to be recognized by the state. ABC 33/40
