The City of Tuscaloosa held a paddleboard and kayak race on Lake Nicol yesterday to celebrate Lakes Appreciation Month, with entrants paddling a three-mile course (1.5 miles each way) before enjoying a fun float.
Tuscaloosa celebrated Lakes Appreciation Month for the first time with a free Paddle Fest at Lake Nicol, and residents enjoyed water activities plus community spirit during the event.

Archibald & Woodrow’s Barbeque in Tuscaloosa was named Alabama’s best barbecue spot by Tasting Table.
The family-run restaurant, in operation since 1962, serves hickory-smoked ribs and pulled pork at its Northport and downtown Tuscaloosa locations.
