American Village will open its gates at 11 a.m. on July 4th and display a 9 p.m. fireworks show, while Vulcan Park and Museum, Smith Lake Park, Oak Mountain State Park, Homewood, Hueytown and Alabaster will offer celebrations with varied admission fees — each venue designed to mark the holiday — for residents to enjoy.
