- ➤ Today, the UA board of trustees will meet at 1:30 p.m. in the Catherine and Pettus Randall Welcome Center Theater—where they will consider appointing the university’s 30th president. The meeting follows a search process that involved over 500 faculty, staff, students and community members as current president Stuart Bell plans to step down after 10 years. The Tuscaloosa News
