- ➤ A 12-year-old from Coker died when the Chevrolet pickup he was in was hit by another pickup driven by a 16-year-old — the crash happened just before 5:00 p.m. on Romulus Road near Libby Road, eight miles west of Northport — and three other children plus a 36-year-old were injured. ABC 33/40
- ➤ A 12-year-old passenger who was not wearing a seat belt died when a 16-year-old driver in a Ford F-150 hit a Chevrolet Colorado on Romulus Road near Libby Road on Sunday afternoon—drivers from both trucks along with a 14-year-old and a 5-year-old passenger were taken to hospital. CBS 42

- ➤ A 41-year-old man was arrested and charged with felony assault after he allegedly shot his 23-year-old neighbor in the leg during a dispute at an apartment complex on the 1100 block of Hargrove Road Monday afternoon (police said the injury is not life-threatening and he is being held without bond).
