  • Alabama State baseball lost an 11-inning contest to Oklahoma State Saturday in Tuscaloosa, 8-7, ending their season. The Hornets rallied from an early deficit but a decisive 11th-inning home run sealed the loss (a season finale heartbreak).  AL.com
  • After a 6-3 win over UCLA on May 28, Alabama softball advanced in the Women's College World Series and met Nebraska at Devon Park on Saturday, May 30 (its first step toward a championship since 2012).  The Tuscaloosa News
  • Alabama baseball beat USC Upstate 7-5 on Saturday night in Tuscaloosa — moving the Tide to a 2-0 record in the regional ahead of today's championship at 7:00 p.m. The team now faces the winner of Oklahoma State vs. USC Upstate while working to reduce six errors.  Tuscaloosa Thread
  • Alabama women's golf has hired Lydia Lasprilla as its new head coach to replace retiring Mic Potter. Lasprilla, who coached Houston and led the team to four NCAA Regional appearances (with her salary pending Board approval), said she is eager to build a winning program.  The Tuscaloosa News
  • Alabama defeated Alabama State 21-3 in game two of the Tuscaloosa Regional Friday — four players hit home runs and six added multiple RBIs, and the Tide faced USC Upstate Saturday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.  Tide 100.9
  • Alabama softball won its first two games at the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City and now is one win from the championship series. The team will play in Monday’s semifinal at 6 p.m. against the winner of the UCLA-Texas Tech contest.  The Tuscaloosa News
  • Yesterday, Alabama faced Nebraska in the Women’s College World Series at Devon Park in Oklahoma City at 6 p.m. on ESPN; if the team lost, they were set to meet Texas today while a win would send them to a Monday matchup.  The Tuscaloosa News
