- ➤ A strong storm last night hit Tuscaloosa County and knocked down trees, damaging homes in Cottondale where a large tree split and hit a house while rainwater poured in—residents reported major inconvenience but no injuries. The Carrol's Creek Fire Department responded to 23 emergency calls related to downed trees and power lines. ABC 33/40
- ➤ A strong storm hit northern Tuscaloosa County Sunday morning—damaging many homes and knocking down hundreds of trees—while county emergency management leaders said no one was hurt. WBRC
- ➤ After heavy rains on May 18, crews found damage at Lake Tuscaloosa and began to inspect the area. Officials plan to assess the repairs needed and will update residents later + advise caution near the site. WBRC
