- ➤ Habitat for Humanity Tuscaloosa has partnered with GAF (a national roofing company with a local office) to offer free reinforced roofs to eligible homeowners in west Tuscaloosa. Residents can apply online if they meet the designated neighborhood criteria. WBRC
- ➤ The Curry Fire Department will hold an honor walk for its assistant fire chief to mark his years of service; the ceremony will take place today in downtown Curry for residents to show their support. WBRC

- ➤ Alabama softball enters the NCAA Tournament as the No. 1 seed and will host the Tuscaloosa Regional from May 15–17 with USC Upstate, Belmont, and SE Louisiana; if it wins, it faces Baton Rouge’s winner in a super regional from May 22–24 leading to the Women’s College World Series.
