- ➤ Tuscaloosa schools using Canvas experienced technical issues after a nationwide cyberattack disrupted access to grades, assignments and exams during spring finals week on May 8. Officials say systems are mostly restored — students are advised to check school emails for security updates. The Tuscaloosa News

- ➤ Major road work begins across Tuscaloosa as students leave after commencement last week — University Boulevard is closed until mid-July and eight campus streets see closures, while a $4.3 million Greensboro Avenue project starts now to boost pedestrian safety before fall football season. - ➤ Alabama won its series opener 8-3 against South Carolina with three home runs and a strong seven-inning outing by Tyler Fay. The Crimson Tide will clinch the series tomorrow at noon CT while managing an injury to Justin Lebron—he suffered a head impact during the game. Tuscaloosa Thread
