  • The Beach Boys and country artist LoCash will perform at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheatre in Tuscaloosa on September 24—tickets go on sale Friday, May 2 at 10 a.m.  Tuscaloosa Thread
  • The Beach Boys, led by Mike Love, will headline a concert in Tuscaloosa on Sept. 24 at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater, joined by LoCash, the O’Jays, and Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone — tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. May 2 — with fans able to purchase them online or at the venue’s box office at 2710 Jack Warner Parkway.  The Tuscaloosa News
  • Music fans in Tuscaloosa can look forward to a concert featuring The Beach Boys, LoCash, and The O’Jays with special guest Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone scheduled for Wednesday, September 24 at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater — 2710 Jack Warner Parkway — and tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 2 at 10 a.m. CST following a venue pre-sale on Thursday, May 1 at 10 a.m. CST.  ABC 33/40

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Alabama House passed Senate Bill 118 today that expands crimes under Aniah's Law so judges can deny bail and will send it to Governor Kay Ivey for review. The constitutional amendment needs a majority vote to become law and is part of a public safety package that also raises penalties for shooting into occupied spaces—ensuring stiffer consequences for violent acts.  ABC 33/40

HEALTH NEWS

  • A new study from County Health Rankings & Roadmaps shows Alabama has two of the fattest cities in America with Tuscaloosa recording a 42.2% adult obesity rate and Montgomery ranking second while Mobile, Decatur, and Gadsden also report high rates compared to the national average of 32%.  Tide 100.9
