  • Two rounds of storms will impact the region Tuesday — the first from midnight to 7 a.m. could bring 60 mph winds and large hail in parts of Tuscaloosa while the second may produce isolated tornadoes through Wednesday morning.  Tuscaloosa Thread

  • Tuscaloosa Wellness Fest is happening today at Tuscaloosa River Market, featuring over 40 local vendors that offer live music, food and hands-on wellness activities (including sample massages, portable saunas, and acupressure ear seeds) for the whole family.  Tuscaloosa Thread

SPORTS NEWS

  • Ten Alabama players were picked in the NFL Draft — LT Overton was chosen by the Cowboys at 137th overall. The university said this ties its record among top football programs.  Alabama Public Radio
  • After the NFL draft Saturday, five former Alabama players signed undrafted free agent deals with NFL teams, including Kam Dewberry with the Falcons, Jaeden Roberts and Deontae Lawson with the Eagles, plus Nikhai Hill-Green and DaShawn Jones with other teams.  Tuscaloosa Thread
  • NFL scouts say Alabama football junior Zabien Brown is the clear first-round prospect for the 2027 draft and they will return to practice fields soon to evaluate wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams and pass rusher Yhonzae Pierre.  The Tuscaloosa News
  • High school girls soccer playoffs continue today with teams in multiple classes competing in scheduled matches.
