Family members of retired trooper Daryl Wayne Brown, Sr. have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver who sped while intoxicated and the truck driver whose truck hit Brown’s disabled car on I-20/59 last summer—accusing both of carelessness in their actions.

Tuscaloosa police arrived at the Links Apartments on 1800 Links Boulevard before dawn today to find one adult male fatally shot & the investigation is continuing.

Tuscaloosa police are investigating after two bodies were found in a vehicle parked outside Crunch Fitness on McFarland Boulevard Saturday afternoon — no obvious injuries were noted.

A national group filed a civil rights complaint on April 25 against the University of Alabama, saying its scholarship for Black students is unfair because it requires a certain race — the complaint claims this breaks Title VI rules and asks the Office for Civil Rights to check if the university treats students equally. The university has not yet responded to the claim.
