Angelica Quintana was sentenced to life in prison on April 22 for the 2022 vehicular murder of Dennis Melton in Tuscaloosa County — the court also ordered her to pay court costs and a $50 victim compensation assessment while applying her cash bond to those payments.

Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell was picked by the Philadelphia Eagles with the No. 31 overall selection in the first round of the NFL draft after starting most of his past two seasons for the Crimson Tide.

He recorded 117 tackles as a junior and became Alabama’s first first-round linebacker since Rashaan Evans in 2018 — the Eagles traded up to secure him.
