COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today at Lake Lurleen State Park to mark the reopening and improved facilities for outdoor recreation. Community members attended and will learn more about upcoming programs (details to follow).  WBRC
  • Dozens of community leaders + parents, board members and staff attended the ribbon-cutting at the renovated Boys and Girls Club clubhouse on Alberta Parkway Friday morning. The project is Phase One of a plan to better serve local children and teens.  Tuscaloosa Thread

  • A new study by Niche ranks four Alabama towns as among the lowest cost of living in America based on factors like housing and grocery costs.
