GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today, Tuscaloosa officials are considering construction of a new fire station in West Tuscaloosa to improve emergency response in District 2 where railroad tracks have delayed responders — council members and the fire chief say the project will need over $2 million funded through the sale of a city property. The Public Safety Committee will review the proposal next Tuesday.  ABC 33/40
