- ➤ Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated’s Eta Xi Omega Chapter in Tuscaloosa is hosting its 3rd Annual The Voices of Freedom Juneteenth Video Contest for middle and high school students from Tuscaloosa City and County—students must submit a video no longer than two minutes by May 1 that explains the history of Juneteenth or shares its impact on their lives. Winners will be notified by May 16 and must attend the NAACP Juneteenth Festival on June 14 to receive cash prizes—500 dollars for high school and 150 dollars for middle school winners.
