  • Students in a public relations class hosted Tunes and Trivia at Innisfree last Wednesday to raise money for Secret Meals for Hungry Children in partnership with the West Alabama Food Bank and Alabama Credit Union — they raised $3,145.78 from the event and $4,942.78 this semester to feed 34 local children every weekend throughout the school year.  The Crimson White
  • Fido Facility Dogs Inc—based in Hoover—is training standard poodle therapy dogs to provide deep pressure therapy that eases stress and supports people with special needs in schools and hospitals. The non-profit, founded by Kelly Schaeffer, Judith Thomason, and Tracy Anderson, is seeking local partners to expand its community service.  ABC 33/40
