  • Fuel prices in Tuscaloosa have risen one dollar per gallon since last year due to the Iran war, causing UA students and residents to face up to $52 more per month in costs (according to reports). Many are adjusting travel and spending habits to cope with the extra expense.  The Crimson White

  • A Tuscaloosa program helps unemployed individuals build skills in plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry through a 10-week course; its application process reopens this month, with a 400-hour paid internship starting April 5 and a new class beginning May 4.  WBRC
  • University of Alabama junior Jimmy Gracey drowned accidentally in Barcelona after disappearing on March 17.
