  • Tuscaloosa County boys basketball defeated Hoover 65-54 in the AHSAA Class 7A state championship on Saturday, Mar. 7 at Legacy Arena (Birmingham). Fans celebrated the win as the team secured the trophy after a closely fought game.  The Tuscaloosa News
  • Alabama’s women’s basketball team lost to Texas in the SEC quarterfinals Friday and now awaits the NCAA Tournament selection show on ESPN Sunday, Mar. 15 & the loss ended their tournament run.  Tuscaloosa Thread
  • Alabama defeated Auburn 96-84 at Coleman Coliseum, where Labaron Philon received a standing ovation in what may have been his final home game before he moves on to the NBA draft.
