  • Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa and its radio stations will launch their annual fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis to raise vital funds that support lifesaving treatments and groundbreaking research for children with cancer.  Tuscaloosa Thread
  • Little Lambs Consignment Sale returns to downtown Tuscaloosa from March 5 to March 7 at the First United Methodist Church (800 Greensboro Ave), offering over 24,000 gently used children’s items. The preview sale starts on March 5 at 6 p.m. with $5 admission, and proceeds benefit local children's ministries.  The Tuscaloosa News
  • Habitat for Humanity Tuscaloosa held orientation sessions on Thursday at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce building at 2222 9th Street and will host sessions on Saturday at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to explain the homeownership process including application, qualification, and required classes.  WBRC

  • Central High School in Tuscaloosa will host a signing day celebration on March 2 at 1 p.m. to honor a senior chosen to attend Tuskegee University and join the historic Tuskegee Airmen — an honor earned by 45 of over 400 applicants.  Tuscaloosa Thread
  • The Alabama Department of Revenue reported that over 250,000 college specialty license plates were issued from Oct. 2024 to Sept. 2025 to fund education scholarships, with more than 120,000 University of Alabama tags leading the numbers — followed by Auburn, Troy, Alabama A&M and Jacksonville State.  AL.com

  • Aldi recalled nearly 9,500 pounds of Bremer Italian Style Meatballs sold at local stores, including Alabama, on Feb. 26 due to reports of possible metal contamination. Shoppers are urged not to eat the product and to return it for a full refund.  The Tuscaloosa News
