- ➤ Oak Grove Fire and Rescue fought four brush fires over the weekend — one seven-acre blaze on Fulton Circle took five hours to contain with help from the Alabama Forestry Commission, and no injuries or property damage were reported while officials urge residents to avoid outdoor burning amid dry conditions. - ➤ Drew Brees-backed Smalls Sliders temporarily closed its Auburn location but will soon expand to Tuscaloosa and other cities in Alabama. The planned Tuscaloosa site is still to be announced. Tuscaloosa Thread

- ➤ Applications for funding from the Graduate Student Association’s new Financial Affairs Committee are open for eligible graduate groups, who can apply for a fixed allotment ($500) until March 30 via the GSA website. - ➤ DRAM shortages driven by high AI demand are raising tech prices for UA students & faculty as they face steeper costs when buying computers; experts say prices may peak later this year and remain high until 2027. The Crimson White
