GSA Mental Health and Wellness Week

About this event

The University of Alabama Graduate Student Association invites graduate students to Mental Health and Wellness Week, November 17-19, 2026. Over three days, the Week will offer care, community, and free resources, including food, flu shots, a free dental checkup, food pantry pickup, panels, games and prizes, tabling with on- and off-campus resource providers, and plenty of swag.

Day 1: Tuesday, November 17

• 8:30 AM, Launch and Awareness: light refreshments and information about the Week (The Quad)

• 9:00 AM, Chat with the Dean: conversation with Graduate School Dean Dr. André Denham (The Quad)

• 10:00 AM, Tabling: engage with on- and off-campus resource providers and get swag (Alumni Space, UASC 2nd floor)

• 10:00 AM, Games and Prize Session: win prizes and coupons from our partners (UASC 3700)

• 10:00 AM, Free Flu Shots: get a free flu shot and swag (Alumni Space, UASC 2nd floor)

• 12:00 PM, Presentation on Mental Health and Well-Being: learn tips and strategies to support your mental health and well-being (UASC 3700)

Day 2: Wednesday, November 18

• 9:00 AM, Tabling: engage with on- and off-campus resource providers and get swag (Alumni Space, UASC 2nd floor)

• 11:00 AM, Lunch (UASC 3700)

• 12:00 PM, Faculty Experience Panel: learn from the graduate school experiences of faculty (UASC 3700)

• 1:00 PM, On- and Off-Campus Resource Panel: interact with a group of on- and off-campus resource providers (UASC 3700)

Day 3: Thursday, November 19

• 9:00 AM, Free Dental Checkup*: free consultations and referrals to affordable dental services (outside UASC, near the Regions Bank ATM)

• 9:00 AM, Swag Giveaway (outside UASC, near the Regions Bank ATM)

• 9:00 AM, UA Pantry Food Pickup: pick up food items offered by the Bama Cares Student Food Pantry (Alumni Space, UASC 2nd floor)

• 9:00 AM, Tabling: engage with on- and off-campus resource providers and get swag (Alumni Space, UASC 2nd floor)

*Limited slots available for the dental checkup. Only the first 15 registrants will be selected.
