About this event
From UA Student to Chancellor: What Does It Really Take to Lead?
Ever wonder what it’s actually like to go from being a college student at UA to leading the entire University of Alabama System?
Join Sid J. Trant, Chancellor of The University of Alabama System, for an inside look at his career journey, the lessons that shaped him, and what he’s learned about leadership along the way.
A UA alum and first-generation college graduate, Chancellor Trant has spent his career navigating law, business, higher education, and leadership. He’ll share the experiences that helped him get where he is today, the unexpected turns in his career, and the advice he wishes he could give his college-aged self.
Come with questions, stay for the conversation, and hear firsthand what it takes to build a career, lead with purpose, and make the most of your time at UA.
You won’t want to miss the chance to hear directly from one of the most influential leaders in the UA System.
