About this event

Join historians Jennifer L. Morgan of New York University and Marisa J. Fuentes of Rutgers University for a conversation about the sources, methods, and interpretive challenges involved in writing histories of slavery.

Morgan is the author of Laboring Women and Reckoning with Slavery , works that examine gender, reproduction, kinship, capitalism, and slavery in the early Black Atlantic. Fuentes is the author of Dispossessed Lives , an influential study of enslaved women, violence, archival power, and historical methodology in eighteenth-century Barbados.
